During these unprecedented times, we are aware that children will need to continue their learning from home. With this in mind, we have prepared a range of resources to support your child/children at home. We recognise that this unique situation presents many challenges but would welcome all the support you can provide during the period of closure. In addition, immediate feedback will assist the children in tackling their lack of understanding or any errors that they may make.
Unfortunately, we will be unable to formally mark and feedback on such large quantities of work when we return. To support with this, we would welcome feedback as appropriate. To access support with learning, when completing planned activities, you should email the Class Teacher (email provided below). As you can appreciate, this will work efficiently if support is requested when it is necessary. We will aim to respond as we become aware of emails promptly during the hours (9am-4pm term time only). Resources and links will be continually updated to ensure you have access to the best possible resources to support learning at home.

Welcome to Class 2. We have a big, bright and colourful classroom for the year 1 and 2 children. The class has windows overlooking the playground and school field. We also have a doorway leading straight out onto the field. We have a large interactive whiteboard for us all to use, computers in the room and access to group sets of iPads.
In the classroom we have 100s of reading books in our cosy reading area, lots of learning games and construction kits to engage the children in independent learning.
Please continue to look at our class page for updates in our learning.

Our new topic... Happy, Healthy, Hearts...
The Enchanted Wood
Forest school (Wednesday 23rd October). We have had a wonderful time during our shelter building forest school theme. The children have risen to all the challenges set and created some thoughtful and functional shelters for different people or animals. Today the children flew high into the sky on our rope swing and dived deep into the muddy puddles around forest school. We ended by lighting a cosy, warm fire and made s’mores
Forest School (Wednesday 2nd October) The children had to choose an animal and design and build a shelter for that animal. It had to be suitable for the size and shape, but also, the children needed to think about the environment and conditions that animal would live in.
We also cut and wittled some willow, befor toasting apples and brown sugar on the fire.
Our Super Start and first Class trip of the year to Puzzlewood in the Forest of Dean. We had a magical and awe inspiring day out in the ancient woods near Coleford. The scenery and views really took our breath away. We hope to take so much inspiration from the day out within our topic, The Enchanted Wood.
