What an amazing day we had at Aston Hall! The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the story of the Great Fire of London. We have been so lucky to have a fun filled, interesting day led by Laura from Birmingham museums.
The children went through the timeline of the event using Aston Hall to visit different stages of the event and meet the key people from the time. The children dressed up as Thomas Farriner, his servant girl, Samuel Pepys, Mary his servant and King Charles 2nd. The whole class had to line up pretending to be citizens of London and carry buckets of water from the river Thames to try and put out the fire.
Thank you for a wonderful day.
