Eckington community flower festival and maypole dancing

On Saturday and Sunday this weekend the whole village got together to celebrate each other and the theme of 'sports and hobbies'.

The main event was the most beautiful display of flower creations in the village church.  Adults, children, friends and family rallied round each other to produce some stunning work.  Everyone also had the pleasure to look around the open garden display.  For more details from the village community, please go to http://www.eckington.info/flowers.html

Eckington C of E First School worked hard to add their annual display in the village church.  Each class thought about the theme and created artwork led by the children.  Mrs Dodd and her maypole club team showed off their skills in traditional English dance to help get the event off to a flying start.
