Friends of Eckington School

We have an active and vibrant parent teacher association - Friends of Eckington School (FOES).
FOES is a registered charity with two simple aims;
• To raise money to support the school and help to advance the education of the children
• To create and maintain a good relationship between the school, parents/carers, the children and the wider community.
FOES raise funds through hosting a wide variety of events such as the annual fun run, auction of Promises, lolly & cake sales and from getting involved with Eckstock. They also hold non-fundraising events, directly for the benefit of the children, eg, Easter Egg hunts and Christmas surprises!
FOES pride themselves on creating those, 'remember when' memories for the children. Thanks to FOES, Class 1 all enjoyed a trip to Malvern Theatre, the whole school received an interactive science workshop, yr 5 took part in watersports and children also took part in samba classes. Children have also recently enjoyed ukelele lessons, bhangra dancing and lots more!
In previous years FOES have given substantial funding towards the improvement of the school grounds and classrooms. FOES provided funds to update the school library, purchased interactive whiteboards and additional ipads, replaced role play structures and bought a new playhouse for the reception and pre-school children. FOES also give an annual contribution towards the purchase of essential resources for the benefit of all children within their classrooms.
All parents/carers are automatically members of FOES and are invited to support the charity. If you would like to find out more about FOES or would like to get involved by joining the committee, please contact the Chairperson via eckingtonfoes@gmail.com or drop into the school office.
